Nike Maxims 11

I just received a bundle of images from the last project I worked on while wrapping things up at Big Giant:  The Nike Maxim Awards. The task was to re-vamp the event’s identity and graphics and to create a gallery-like display of the company’s history and current 2011 award nominees.  Filtering 40 years of athlete, business, product innovation and pop culture stories and archival items, as well as 35 nominee stories and videos was no small task.  Nor was designing a system of structures that would cover existing walls and display cases and gracefully filter 800+ guests through the Tiger Woods Center lobby.  But turning to fundamentals like modularity, white space, clean typography and some damn fine builders, made the design and event a smashing success.  A very nice send-off project as I diverge into the world of dimensional design and making.
